Let’s talk about Scent options:
Hey there! Do you have questions about our scents? We use all essential oils to create our scent blends, and while Vedic Botanicals strives to use essential oils that are USDA certified organic, there are a few that remain uncertified.
We also have some scent blends that are uniquely our own, so we’ve listed everything out to assist with your shopping experience. Scents use USDA certified organic oils unless otherwise specified.
Happy shopping!
Ave Maria (Lavender, Rosemary, Bergamot, Lime)
Bergamot is a citrus flower
Our most popular scent by far, Ave Maria started out as a custom scent blend. When Rachel was first starting out as an herbalist, fresh from college, one of her clients asked Rachel to mimic the scent of her favorite lotion but with essential oils. The Ave Maria blend of essential oils was the result, named after the client- Maria, a devoted Catholic and loving human. Ave Maria means “Hail Mary” in Latin.
Aegean Sweets (Ylang ylang, Orange, Patchouli) *Crowd Favorite- Ylang ylang is a sweet, tropical flower.
Forest Sage / Katahdin Blend (Cedarwood, Patchouli, Neroli) *Neroli is a citrus, orange-y smelling flower. **This scent incurs an extra cost due to the price of organic neroli essential oil.
While there is no sage in Forest Sage, this blend got its name from the imagery of a Sage sitting and meditating in the forest, which is directly where our herbalist’s mind went after smelling this blend. Cedarwood is the forest, Patchouli is the Sage, and Neroli provides the sweet dewy smell of life, fresh rain, and the subtle delights of the meditative state. Forest Sage is loved by male and female shoppers alike.
Southern Harvest / Chirripo Blend (Ginger, Nutmeg, Grapefruit)
Chamomile + Neroli *This scent incurs an extra cost due to the price of organic neroli and chamomile essential oils.
Cedarwood + Sage
Vanilla + mint
Lavender
Clove
Bastet’s Blend (Lavender, Myrrh) Myrrh is not certified organic
Want a scent you don’t see? We do custom blends on a regular basis.
Please note that we do not pair certain scent blends with certain herbal blends due to Dosha-related contraindications. (Ie. Some essential oils may be aggravating to Pitta types, etc). But please feel free to reach out if you’re looking for something specific.
